-----------------( click image to enlarge )I love this one.... Well, flying the Saranggola (kite) is a favorite summer sport or past-time by not only the young ones, but also by those who are young at heart....
When i was little we used to build our own kites out of shopping plastic bags and bamboo splits, then we go kite-flying all day long along the river bank nearby because that's the only unobstructed wide and open area we know where we could safely fly our kites free from getting caught-up in the twining power lines and tall trees.... We had a lot of fun those days, that's probably the reason why i like this one because it reminds me of my childhood.... =D

ang bilis magdrawing. kanina pagbisita wala pang saranggola na lumilipad. sino pa ba yang kasama mo pepz? diin ka da sa duha ka bata?
Kuno abi ikaw na kag ako Red ha-ha....! Na-miss ko nang burador kay mo na ubra namon permi sang bata pa ko nagapalupad burador sa likod balay....! =D

This reminds me of when my brother would make a big kite (about 4' tall) and he and some other guys would fly and fight with the other guys on the other side of the river. They glue on their strings "bubug" (broken pieces of glass) so they can cut the other kite's string. The loser's kite would fall in the river...and sometimes both of them, if they get tangled up. The winner gets the loser's kite. Sadly, they don't do this anymore, it's now too crowded in that place.
Those were the days.

Thanks Mari, hindi naman siguro natsambahan ko lang ulit ha-ha....! Wow, a kite 4 feet tall, hindi kaya dalhin ang brother mo nun sa paglipad....? Yeah, i've seen kids put bubug on their strings too pero hindi ko alam kung paano gawin nun kaya stick to basic lang ako.... =D
